What is Machon Ivrit?
Machon Ivrit is an exciting new program for adults to learn Modern Hebrew. Professionally taught and open to the entire community, Machon Ivrit offers two years (beginning and intermediate levels) of fun and effective learning to gain Hebrew speaking, reading and writing skills.

When is Machon Ivrit?
Machon Ivrit will run on Monday nights 7:00‐9:15 throughout the academic year, except on national or Jewish holidays. Our 30 week session will begin October 3, 2011 and end June 4, 2012, and will meet at Congregation Neveh Shalom, 2900 SW Peaceful Lane, Portland 97239.

Who is behind this exciting program?
Machon Ivrit is co‐sponsored by several Portland‐area Jewish organizations dedicated to excellent Jewish learning opportunities for the whole community. Co-sponsors are Congregation Neveh Shalom, Portland Kolel, The Harold Schnitzer Family Program in Judaic Studies at Portland State, MORASHA: The Jewish Community Education Alliance, Institute for Judaic Studies of the Pacific Northwest, and the Covenant Foundation.
